Several incidents were reported in the local area over the past 24 hours. Police dealt with theft, vandalism, and an attempt to use counterfeit money. One arrest was made in connection with a supermarket robbery.

A black Nissan Qashqai parked at Strobeler Platz had its windshield damaged sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. The owner discovered the damage later that evening.

At a gas station shortly before midnight, an unidentified man tried to buy cigarettes with fake banknotes. No other recent cases of counterfeit money attempts have been recorded in the region this year.

Overnight, unknown offenders ripped a gumball machine from the wall at An der Lehmkuhle. The extent of the damage remains unclear.

A 34-year-old man was taken into custody after stealing alcohol and pastries from an Aldi supermarket. When confronted by a store detective, he became violent and tried to escape before being apprehended.

The supermarket thief now faces charges for both robbery and assault. Authorities continue to investigate the vandalism at Strobeler Platz and the gumball machine theft. No arrests have yet been made in those cases.
