Agritechnica, the world's leading trade fair for agricultural machinery, returns to Hanover this Sunday. Organizers expect nearly 430,000 visitors, nearing the record set in 2023. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the event, which first debuted in 1985. The fair focuses on agricultural technology and efficiency, with the theme 'Touch Smart Efficiency'.

The German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food will showcase innovative research projects, including an electric tractor and an AI-based crop management system. The fair will also highlight new technologies like drones, sensors, and AI algorithms. Over 2,800 exhibitors from 52 countries will display tractors, farm machinery, and more across 23 fully booked halls.

The fair's organizers include the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture (LfL), ANEDO in cooperation with the University of Bremen, and various agricultural and industry associations. They will present research on adapting agriculture to climate change, AI-supported condition monitoring systems, and practical soil and production stability solutions. The event begins on Sunday, with German Federal Agriculture Minister Alois Rainer and Lower Saxony’s Agriculture Minister Miriam Staudte joining the opening tour on Monday.

Agritechnica, after a COVID-19 hiatus in 2021, returns to showcase the latest in agricultural technology. With nearly 430,000 expected visitors, the fair promises to be a significant event in the agricultural calendar, marking its 40th anniversary this year.
