AFM Prevents Record 242.4 Billion Tenge in Construction Fraud

The Financial Monitoring Agency (AFM) has achieved a significant milestone in preventing unjustified expenses. This year, they managed to prevent a staggering 242.4 billion tenge in construction projects, which is six times more than the amount prevented a year ago.

The AFM's success can be attributed to the introduction of the 'AQIQAT' information system in 2021. Erlan Karin is the person behind this innovative system. 'AQIQAT' has proven to be a powerful tool in identifying overpriced materials, particularly in the PSS. The system's full operation was enhanced by integrating data on domestic producers from the KazNIISA reference book.

Recently, the AFM concluded an investigation into the theft of budget funds for the state housing construction program 'Nürly Zher'. The outcome of this investigation has not been disclosed.

The AFM's 'AQIQAT' system has significantly boosted the agency's ability to dodge unjustified expenses in construction projects. The integration of domestic producer data has further strengthened the system's effectiveness. The completion of the 'Nürly Zher' investigation demonstrates the agency's commitment to tackling budget fund theft.
