ADN Distribution teams up with NetBird to boost Zero Trust security for businesses
ADN Distribution has broadened its security offerings by partnering with NetBird, an open-source Zero Trust Networking platform. The move aims to simplify secure connectivity for businesses managing distributed IT systems. Hermann Ramacher, ADN's Managing Director, sees this as a vital addition to their portfolio. NetBird's platform reduces the complexity of traditional VPN setups. It allows managed service providers to connect devices, servers, and cloud environments quickly and securely. Built on the WireGuard protocol, it enables rapid deployment without extensive firewall configurations.
The solution provides fully encrypted peer-to-peer communication between endpoints, sites, and cloud workloads. Access is controlled through identity-based authentication, aligning with modern Zero Trust principles. Nima Sadeghifard, NetBird's Chief of Staff, highlighted that the partnership will help more businesses adopt identity-centric networking.
By March 2026, ADN had already supplied NetBird's Zero Trust solutions to over 150 customers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The most active users come from manufacturing, finance, and healthcare sectors. ADN's goal is to become a leading provider of Zero Trust and secure site networking in the German-speaking market. The collaboration between ADN and NetBird reflects the growing demand for simpler, more secure networking solutions. With over 150 deployments in key industries, the platform is already proving its value. ADN's focus remains on expanding its role as a trusted partner for Zero Trust security in the region.
