"A Lifeline in Need": Hanauer Harbor Donates to Franziskus House"
Hanau Hafen GmbH has again chosen to support local charities instead of sending Christmas gifts to business partners. This year, the company donated €1,000 to Franziskus-Haus, a shelter for homeless people in Hanau. The donation was handed over in a public ceremony attended by local media.
The cheque was presented by Markus Menzen and Gerhard Einhoff, representatives of Hanau Hafen GmbH. They met with Johannes Krause, the facility director of Franziskus-Haus, to officially deliver the funds. The shelter, run by Caritas Main-Kinzig-Kreis, offers counselling and three daily meals to those in need, 365 days a year.
Hanau Hafen GmbH has a history of backing community projects. Past donations have gone to the Hanau Food Bank, the 'Street Angels' initiative, and the Special Olympics State Games. By redirecting its Christmas budget to social causes, the company continues its tradition of local support.
The €1,000 contribution will help Franziskus-Haus maintain its services for homeless individuals in Hanau. The donation reflects Hanau Hafen GmbH’s ongoing commitment to assisting vulnerable groups in the region. Local press and Caritas Main-Kinzig-Kreis confirmed the details of the handover.
