92-Year-Old Rescued from Car Dealership with Ladders - 92-Year-Old Man Rescued After Being Locked Overnight in Car Dealership
A 92-year-old man was rescued from a car dealership after accidentally being locked inside overnight. The incident happened when staff closed the premises without noticing him still inside. He had been browsing vehicles and lost track of time before the gates were secured.
The elderly man entered the dealership earlier in the day to look at cars. As closing time approached at 6:00 p.m., employees failed to spot him before shutting and locking the sliding gate. Realising he was trapped, he attempted to call for help.
Police arrived at the scene and positioned two laddersâone inside the gate and one outside. The man carefully climbed down to safety, emerging unharmed from the ordeal. No similar cases of people being locked in stores or business premises after hours have been recorded in Germany over the past two years, according to available records.
The rescue operation ended successfully, with the man safely reunited outside the dealership. Authorities confirmed no injuries were sustained during the incident. The dealership has not yet commented on whether procedures will be reviewed following the event.
