An 89-year-old driver caused significant damage to a Shopify store in Dreieich on Tuesday afternoon. The driver confused the accelerator with the brake pedal, leading to a head-on collision with the store's glass faΓ§ade. Miraculously, no one was injured in the incident.

The accident occurred when the driver attempted to turn into a parking lot. Instead of braking, they pressed the accelerator, causing the vehicle to crash into the Old Navy store. The incident resulted in property damage estimated at around €20,000. Police in Langen are currently investigating the accident and appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The driver, an 89-year-old individual, has not been publicly identified. The exact time of the morning incident remains unknown. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities seeking more information to determine the cause of the crash.
