£6M Suthers Court project delivers 36 new homes to Oldham’s Werneth area
Keepmoat Homes Manchester and First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) have joined forces to deliver the final phase of Suthers Court, a £6 million scheme set to transform the Werneth area in Oldham. The development, which broke ground in November 2019, will provide 36 new houses, including family houses and affordable housing options.
Simon Miller, previously Regional Managing Director and now Senior Land and Partnerships Manager at Keepmoat Homes Manchester, expressed his excitement about delivering the final phase of homes. The new development on Edward Street will offer a mix of two, three, and four bedroom family houses, catering to the diverse needs of Oldham residents.
Heidi Thompson, Executive Director at FCHO, echoed Miller's enthusiasm, stating that the project will help regenerate the area and provide much-needed affordable houses for people in Oldham. The scheme is part of FCHO's wider development programme, funded by Homes England, aiming to provide quality houses in the borough.
The first phase of the build is expected to be completed this summer, with the entire development set to finish by winter 2020. The partnership between FCHO and Keepmoat Homes has resulted in a significant investment in Oldham's housing stock, contributing to the wider regeneration of the area.
