5000 Euro against silent poverty in the classroom

ESWE Versorgung has donated €5,000 to the School Mentors Help initiative in place of its usual holiday gift baskets. The funding will support children in the city who face financial struggles in their daily school lives.

The decision aims to remove barriers that prevent students from accessing essential educational opportunities.

The School Mentors Help project works with the city’s Department III to identify pupils in need. Teachers flag students who require assistance, ensuring aid goes directly to those who benefit most.

ESWE Versorgung chose to redirect its holiday budget—traditionally spent on corporate gifts—toward this cause. The company’s contribution will help cover costs that might otherwise exclude children from school activities.

No additional paperwork or financial strain is placed on families. The initiative streamlines support so that eligible students receive help without extra bureaucracy.

The €5,000 donation will fund practical support for disadvantaged pupils. By replacing holiday presents with this contribution, ESWE Versorgung ensures more children can participate fully in school life. The project continues to rely on teacher input to allocate resources where they are needed.
