30,000 Euros for charitable purposes
The 2025 Hanau Advent calendar has sold out completely, raising âŹ30,000 for local youth projects. All 8,999 copies were snapped up by supporters eager to win one of 878 prizes. The event, now in its 20th year, continues to be a beloved tradition in the city.
This yearâs calendar featured a design by Gari Singh, a student at Theodor-Heuss-Schule, guided by teacher Ms. Heger-Zimmermann. The prizes included a JURA coffee machine, a wellness hotel stay, and a DEKA voucher, with daily draws announced in the Hanauer Anzeiger, on the eventâs website, and via the City of Hanauâs Instagram Stories.
Winners can collect their prizes from the Service Center between January 2 and 31, open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Lions Clubs of Hanau and Hanau Brothers Grimm recently presented cheques to three youth centres: the Hanau Family and Play Center, Lamboypark Youth Center, and Weststadt Youth Center. Mayor Dr. Maximilian Bieri thanked the Lions Clubs, local retailers, hospitality businesses, and citizens for their contributions. He also reminded those who missed out to prepare for the 2026 edition, which will again be organised by Hanau Marketing GmbH.
The Advent calendar has supported childrenâs and youth projects in Hanau for two decades. This yearâs success ensures continued funding for local initiatives. Organisers are already planning next yearâs event to keep the tradition alive.
